About Flamenco Dance

    			sevillanas flamenco dancing
Sevillanas dancing at the Feria, Seville
The roots of flamenco are often disputed... it has elements from Indian Kathak and Arabic music, is passionate and fiery, but also has delicacy and control.

There are many flamenco rhythms, each with their distinct feeling and attitude:
Tangos, Bulerias, Alegrias, Fandangos, Tientos, Solea etc.

Flamenco is danced by men and women. You do not need a partner for flamenco. Sevillanas, which is danced at fiestas in Spain, is the only dance which is always done in pairs.
